Know that alimony sees no gender

A survey published by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) in 2018 shows that the number of women who find themselves paying child or spousal support increased in recent years. Some legal analysts suspect that this emerging trend may be a sign that the earning power gender gap that once existed between women and men is slowly but surely closing.

What approach to mediation is best for my Florida divorce case?

Divorces are often complex to sort out. Children and assets tend to slow down the process more than other factors, especially if one or both spouses have hurt feelings and are unwilling to find common ground. Litigation can be quite costly and often has a way of not turning out as couples planned. On the other hand, mediation is a solution-oriented approach whereby divorcing couples may move quickly and amicably resolve their differences.

Is my divorcing spouse a narcissist?

You can be so sure that you know someone until your relationship is tested and they show their true colors. Tragically, people can be married to a person whom they loved for many years until that person changes beyond recognition. Feeling that you no longer know or understand the person to whom you were devoted can be a very frightening experience, but it happens surprisingly often.
